CUNDALL unveils cooperation project with RM Architects

CUNDALL, one of the most prominent engineering consultancy, unveiled today its cooperation project with RM Architects.
The Xixian Orange Sky Mall is a 35,000 sqm mixed use development divided into three key functions: movie theatres, food and beverages, and retail.
CUNDALL will be providing building services engineering for this project.
Established in the UK 40 years ago, the company has developed into an international multi-disciplinary consultancy operating from over 20 locations across the globe.

With the grand opening of Florentia Village Foshan Phase I on September 24, 2015, the VIP Lounge of the project designed by RM Architects was also officially unveiled.

Located on the top of the main entrance, the 400m2 VIP lounge faces both the inner and external streets with two terraces. Designed with a modern and high-tech style, the Lounge provides a comfortable and elegant space to VIP customers for rest and relaxation when shopping in the Village.

“With the carefully-considered combination of materials, lights, artwork and furniture, we’ve realized the goal of creating a neat, warm and cozy experience for distinguished customers”, said Riccardo Minervini, Principal & Founding Partner of RM Architects.

As a long-term partner of RDM Group – developer and management company of Florentia Villages, RMA Architects also provided designs for VIP Lounges in Wuqing and Shanghai Florentia Villages.

Florentia Village Foshan, the third of its kind in China, features an authentic Italian flavor by the use of classic Italian elements such as architecture, plazas, arches and fountains, etc.. Over 60 famous international brands opened doors to the public on the initial phase opening day including Adidas, Armani, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Coach, Fila and Hush Puppies, etc..

RMA Attends NWCL Product Launch & Forum

New World China Land (NWCL) launched its Phase II high-end villa products on August 7, 2015 at its project location in Shunyi District, Beijing. At the invitation of NWCL, Mr. Riccardo Minervini, Principal & Founding Partner of RM Architects (RMA), attended the event as project interior designer. Mr. Chen Zhi, Vice President of Beijing Real Estate Association, Ms. Liu Sujing, Editor from Beijing Youth and other distinguished guests and media outlets witnessed the ceremony.

Against the backdrop of gradually relaxed policies, the housing market in Beijing, especially the luxury housing market, has seen a major recovery in the past months. According to Mr. Qiu Guozhao, Deputy General Manager of NWCL North China Region, NWCL has achieved an 800 million RMB sales turnover in the Masterpiece project for the first half of 2015.

As long-term partner of NWCL, RMA was responsible for the interior design of two showcase villas in the Masterpiece project.
“What makes a product or design unique and more acceptable to ever more demanding customers lies in the consideration of users’ experience, individuality and lifestyles”, said Mr. Minervini in the following Luxury Housing Summit Forum.

During the forum, Mr. Minervini gave a presentation on the interior design for one of the villas with the theme “Oriental Elegance”. A combination of Chinese and western elements, the design takes into consideration the living habits and personality of target users. “Our approach is to go beyond the design itself and create homes that reflect the lifestyles and personality of each client.” Said Mr. Minervini.

RMA Forms Strategic Partnership with CSCEC

RM Architects Limited (RMA) launched a strategic partnership with China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (CSCEC) on June 2, 2015. Mr. Riccardo Minervini, Principal & Founding Partner of RMA and Mr. Zhao Weiyong, Deputy General Manager of CSCEC, signed the agreement during the ceremony celebrated at CSCEC Beijing headquarters.

In accordance with the agreement, both sides will carry out professional exchanges, share market resources and form a coalition to win projects in their future endeavors.

“This alliance brings the strengths of both companies together which allows for better marketing positions and opportunities for both sides.” Said Mr. Minervini at the ceremony.

Mr. Wu Guoxing – President of Beijing Construction Decoration Association (BCDA), Mr. Gao Jian – Vice President of BCDA, Ms. Li Xiangmin – President of CSCEC Decoration Design Institute and Mr. Marco Vitali – RMA Founding Partner witnessed the ceremony.

The ceremony was followed by a seminar given by Mr. Marco Vitali with the topic “Sustainable Means and Design Process to Improve Residential Building Performances”, marking the first step in the strategic agreement. Recognizing building refurbishments will represent an important market demand in China, and he shared his insights and experience on how to renovate residential buildings in a sustainable way.
